greepillsRepeat Prescriptions

We have a computerised repeat prescribing service for those on agreed long term treatment. This is carefully monitored by your doctor. To order a repeat prescription online  - click on one of the links above, alternatively you can place your reorder slip in the prescription box situated in the waiting area or telephone the  prescription line on 616 7909.  This line is available 24 hrs per day.

Please allow two working days for your prescription to be prepared.  Also ensure you leave extra time over bank holiday weekends.  Once ordered your prescription will be ready to collect at the surgery or at the chemist if requested.   Please avoid calling the surgery to "check" if your prescription is ready as this is very time consuming for the receptionists as they have to check your records for the date when it was prescribed and then if the prescription is not in the surgery checking with the chemist to see if they have the prescription.   MOST items are on 8 weekly repeat but some can only be prescribed 4 weekly.  Please check before ordering that you are on a 8 weekly prescripton and are not requesting too early avoiding a high demand on GP and administration time.

All prescription requests take 48hours/2working days to process at the practice.  If you have requested your prescription to be sent to a chemist PLEASE note that each chemist may have their own processing time from when they receive from the surgery.   Ask at your chemist as this may increase the time from when your prescription is ordered to the time the chemist have processed for you to collect.

Prescriptions can be uplifted from reception, sent to a local chemist or posted to you if you provide a stamped addressed envelope.
